Patient's bag stolen from Nicosia General Hospital room

On August 12, 2026, a theft occurred at the Nicosia General Hospital when an unidentified woman entered a patient's room and stole a bag. The incident came to light after the patient's relatives briefly left the room and returned to find the stranger inside. The unidentified woman fled the premises immediately upon being discovered.

Although the incident took place on August 12, the theft was only discovered and reported by the family four days later, on August 16. Following the discovery, the relatives alerted the hospital's nursing staff and security department. The hospital security personnel referred the family to the Latsia police station to file an official complaint. The case is currently under investigation by the local authorities.
