Aris Limassol signs 19-year-old Dutch forward Zael Pavierontiharjo
Aris Limassol has officially announced the acquisition of 19-year-old Dutch forward Zael Pavierontiharjo from MVV Maastricht. The striker, who was born on September 27, 2006, and is of Surinamese descent, has signed a two-year contract with the Cypriot club, which holds an option to extend the deal for an additional two years.
Pavierontiharjo is a product of the Sparta Rotterdam academy. He joined Maastricht in 2023, where he progressed from the U19 and U21 teams to the professional squad. During his time with the Dutch side, he recorded 15 appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Most recently, he appeared in three league matches during the current 2026-27 season, finding the net once before his transfer to Cyprus.
This move aligns with Aris Limassol's strategy to lower the average age of their squad ahead of the upcoming championship. The team is currently preparing for their season opener against Apollon, scheduled for this Saturday at the Alphamega Stadium. Supporters are eager to see if the new, younger roster can effectively compete in the league.
