Eac to build electricity storage in Dhekelia and Moni

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus is developing battery storage systems at its Dhekelia and Moni power stations to minimize renewable energy waste. The €33.7 million Dhekelia project, scheduled for completion in September 2025, will provide 80 megawatts of power, while a larger 100-megawatt facility is planned for Moni. These initiatives align with broader government efforts and industry calls to improve energy infrastructure and reduce electricity costs for consumers and businesses.
