The Nicosia Regional Tourism Board (Etap) has announced a promotional event aimed at attracting Greek visitors, scheduled for October 2, 2026. The event, held under the slogan “Greece, we are waiting for you,” will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Theocharakis Foundation Amphitheatre in central Athens. It is organized as part of the broader “Cyprus Days” initiative supported by the Cyprus Embassy in Greece.
Key officials set to address the audience include Cyprus Deputy Tourism Minister Kostas Koumis, Ambassador to Greece Stavros Avgoustides, and the President of the Cyprus-Greece Business Association Iosif Iosif. Religious representation will be provided by the Bishop of Mesaoria, Grigorios, who leads the Synodical Office for Pilgrimage Tours. Nicosia Mayor Charalambos Prountzos is scheduled to deliver a presentation titled “Why Nicosia,” while the main address will be given by the President of Etap Nicosia, Theodoros Kringos. The initiative highlights the city's comparative advantages to encourage tourism and business cooperation.
