Road closure in Limassol for Saint Fanourios festival
The Municipality of Limassol has announced the temporary closure of a section of Agiou Fanouriou Street to vehicular traffic to accommodate the festivities celebrating the feast of Saint Fanourios. This traffic regulation measure, approved in consultation with the Chief of the Cyprus Police, will be in effect on Wednesday, August 26, and Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The restricted area spans from the intersection of Agiou Fanouriou Street with Myrras Street to its intersection with Amvrakikou Street. Traffic will be prohibited between the hours of 17:00 and 22:00 on both days. This measure is being implemented under the Limassol Municipal Regulations of 2006.
Authorities have issued a warning that individuals who violate these restrictions will be subject to penalties as outlined in the Municipalities Law and the relevant 2006 regulations. The Municipality has expressed its apologies for any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and has requested the public's understanding as the local community hosts the religious festival.
