Femicide in Rodopi: 58-year-old kills his wife and attempts to end his life

A 53-year-old man killed his 44-year-old wife by stabbing her in their home in Dialampi, Rodopi. After the crime, the perpetrator attempted suicide by ingesting kerosene and is currently hospitalized under police guard. The couple, originally from Albania, had three children, one of whom alerted authorities. Previous reports indicate a history of domestic violence, as the victim had filed a formal complaint against her husband for threats in Crete in 2022.
