Limassol municipality presents fleet modernization program
On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the Mayor of Limassol, Giannis Armeutis, presented a comprehensive fleet modernization program at the municipal wholesale market. The initiative, spanning from July 2024 to July 2026, aims to improve municipal services, enhance reliability, and reduce maintenance costs by gradually replacing outdated equipment.
The project involves 22 contracts with a total value of approximately 5.6 million euros plus VAT, designated for the acquisition of 70 new vehicles and machines. To date, 35 units have been delivered, with a particular focus on sanitation, including road sweepers and waste collection equipment. The remaining 35 vehicles and machines are scheduled for delivery throughout 2026 and 2027.
