Charity concert for the completion of the Holy Temple of the Good Shepherd to be held at Kourion

On September 30, 2026, the Ancient Theatre of Kourion will host a charity concert as part of the 'Love Concerts 2026' series. The event aims to raise funds for the completion of the Holy Temple of the Good Shepherd in Episkopi and is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.

The concert features performances by wind instrument virtuoso Thanasis Vasilopoulos, alongside either Glykeria or Eleni Tsaligopoulou, as sources provide conflicting reports regarding the artist accompanying Vasilopoulos. Both artists, supported by their own large orchestras, will present individual programs showcasing Greek and international music, ranging from traditional folk songs to contemporary arrangements. Each performance is designed to offer a unique musical experience within the historic setting of the archaeological site.

This event is part of a broader ongoing community initiative to finance the construction of the church. The organization of these concerts is led by the Support Committee for the Completion of the Holy Temple of the Good Shepherd. As of late August 2026, preparations for the evening are underway to ensure the project meets its fundraising objectives.
