Survivor of the Le Constellation club fire recovers after severe injuries

Leonardo Bove, a 16-year-old survivor of the tragic fire at the Le Constellation club in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, has shown remarkable resilience during his long recovery. The fire, which occurred on New Year's Eve, claimed the lives of 41 young people. Bove suffered severe burns across 60% of his body and spent seven months undergoing multiple surgeries at the Niguarda hospital burns unit in Milan.

Throughout his hospitalization, Bove demonstrated notable strength, with video footage surfacing of him playing a makeshift game of soccer using an inflated medical glove with his doctor. He was discharged on July 17 of last year and has since returned home to continue his rehabilitation. His recovery has allowed him to resume personal activities, including attending live matches of his favorite football team, Inter. While he continues to undergo medical treatment for his injuries, his progress is widely noted as a symbol of courage following the catastrophic event.
