Forecasts indicate that the intense heat wave is expected to persist through Friday, August 28, with the potential for further weather alerts. A significant meteorological shift is anticipated on Saturday, August 29, when temperatures are expected to drop below seasonal norms. The island will likely experience variable cloudiness, thunderstorms, and potential hail in inland areas and the Troodos mountains, with rainfall accumulation potentially reaching up to 35 millimeters.
