Two women arrested in Larnaca for operating an illegal brothel and theft
In the early hours of August 27, 2026, Larnaca police arrested two Brazilian women, aged 25 and 26, who had been residing in an apartment in Larnaca since July. The operation was initiated after a 23-year-old man reported that his money had been stolen following a sexual encounter in the apartment. The man claimed that €6,700 in cash, which he had in his possession, went missing after the visit.
Upon receiving the complaint, CID officers searched the premises and discovered the stolen funds hidden behind a bedside table. The two suspects were apprehended and are currently facing multiple charges, including theft, handling stolen goods, conspiracy to commit a felony, and the illegal operation of a brothel.
Following their arrest, the two women were brought before the Larnaca District Court. The court issued an eight-day detention order against both suspects as police continue their investigation into the criminal activities linked to the property. The case remains under the active oversight of the Larnaca CID.
