Cyprus Anti-Corruption Authority sets deadline for lobbyist reporting

The Independent Authority Against Corruption (IAAC) in Cyprus has issued a formal notice requiring all registered lobbyists to submit their semi-annual reports by September 15, 2026. This mandate applies to every individual and legal entity listed in the official Registry, covering any involvement in public decision-making processes that occurred between March 1, 2026, and the end of the semester.

To facilitate compliance, the Authority has designated specific submission forms: L03 for natural persons and L04 for legal entities, both of which are available on the official IAAC website. A critical component of this regulatory measure is that even if a lobbyist has had no contact with public officials or involvement in decision-making during the reporting period, they must still file a formal statement to that effect. Submissions can be made either in hard copy or electronically via the dedicated email address lobbying@iaac.org.cy.

This reporting requirement is part of a broader framework to increase transparency in public decision-making processes. The authority emphasizes the mandatory nature of this procedure, as the filing of these periodic updates ensures that the Registry remains accurate and that all influence activities are properly recorded and monitored for potential conflicts of interest.
