Marcus Holmgren Pedersen joins Olympiacos
Olympiacos has reached a definitive agreement with Torino for the transfer of 26-year-old Norwegian right-back Marcus Holmgren Pedersen. The financial terms of the deal involve a base fee of 6 million euros, supplemented by 2 million euros in potential bonuses, for a four-year contract. The player arrived in Athens on the night of August 27, 2026, to finalize the move.
Pedersen is scheduled to undergo medical and performance tests on August 28 before formally signing his contract. This acquisition is part of the club’s broader effort to bolster its squad ahead of the September 3 registration deadline for the UEFA Europa League group phase.
Before his move to Greece, the defender played for Torino, having previously spent time at Feyenoord, Sassuolo, Molde, and Tromsø. He is a Norwegian international with 36 caps and one goal. Olympiacos is currently also pursuing further reinforcements, including potential deals for a midfielder and a winger, with ongoing negotiations involving players like Morten Frendrup of Genoa.
