Search operations continue for missing 75-year-old woman in Tsakkistra

Authorities and volunteers in Cyprus have entered the fifth day of search operations for 75-year-old Erato Athanasiou, who has been missing since 11:00 on Sunday, August 23. The search is concentrated in the Tsakkistra and Kampos regions, where the elderly woman disappeared from her home.

The search effort involves a multi-agency approach, including the Cyprus Police, the Fire Service, drone operators (UAVs), and the specialized K9 search and rescue team. The challenging landscape, which features extensive forest areas, has complicated the search. Local officials have issued public appeals for residents and individuals connected to the area to assist in the operation.
