ETEK president proposes drills with different scenarios to improve the Nestor plan

Following the first practical implementation of the Nestor road emergency plan during Thursday’s serious traffic accident on the Nicosia–Larnaca highway, ETEK President Konstantinos Konstanti has proposed conducting drills with various hypothetical scenarios. He emphasized the need to clarify operational responsibilities and risk assessment procedures to prevent prolonged highway closures that disrupt public transport and essential infrastructure access. Konstanti called for a transparent evaluation of the recent incident to identify potential failures and optimize the system for future efficiency.
