Cypriot Cabinet to hold retreat at Troodos presidential residence

Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides and his Cabinet will hold a formal retreat this Saturday, August 29, at the presidential summer residence in Troodos. Scheduled for 10:30 a.m., the meeting aims to conduct an open political discussion to review government performance and establish strategic priorities for the coming months.

Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that the discussion will focus on coordinating the implementation of the government program and setting priorities for the 2027 state budget. According to official data, 81.6% of the planned government interventions have already been completed or are currently in progress. While some reports suggest the meeting is intended for a general review of progress, Philenews notes that the appointment of a new Deputy Chief of the National Guard is the only specific item on the formal agenda.
