Eurostat reports 97,096 commercial flights in Cyprus for 2025

In 2025, Cyprus's international airports in Larnaca and Paphos recorded a combined total of 97,096 commercial flights, according to data published by Eurostat on August 28, 2026. Larnaca Airport accounted for the majority of this traffic with 73,226 flights, while Paphos Airport recorded 23,870.

Monthly data shows peak activity occurred in August, with 8,619 flights in Larnaca and 2,961 in Paphos, totaling 11,580. High traffic levels were also noted in July and September. Conversely, February experienced the lowest activity, with 3,387 flights in Larnaca and 905 in Paphos. Across the European Union, total commercial flights reached 6.9 million in 2025, representing a 3.8% increase from the 6.7 million recorded in 2024.

This growth marks a continuous upward trend in air traffic since 2021, with 2025 figures returning to levels comparable to the 2019 pre-pandemic period. The data indicates that non-scheduled commercial flights, which include charters and special services, comprised 8.5% of the total flight activity across the European Union.
