Stevan Jovetić joins AEL Limassol on a two-year deal
AEL Limassol has officially announced the signing of 36-year-old Montenegrin international forward Stevan Jovetić. Following his departure from Omonia, where he played for the past two seasons, the striker opted to remain in Cyprus and has signed a contract with the Limassol-based club valid until 2028.
Throughout his career, including his recent stint at Omonia where he recorded 66 appearances with 17 goals and 16 assists, Jovetić has established himself as a prolific and experienced player. During the summer break, he maintained his physical condition by training with Arsenal Tivat in Montenegro. His arrival is considered a major reinforcement for the squad managed by Hugo Martins, adding both quality and leadership as the club aims to improve its competitiveness.
Jovetić has already participated in his first training session with his new teammates. According to reports, he is expected to be included in the squad for the upcoming league season opener against Anorthosis.
