Nicosia Development Licensing Authority launches new online statistics portal

The Nicosia Development Licensing Authority (EOA Nicosia) launched a new digital portal on August 28, 2026, designed to provide public access to detailed, real-time statistics regarding development permits. The portal offers monthly updates, categorical breakdowns of applications, visual progress charts, and cumulative data spanning the last two years.

According to the released data covering the period up to July 2026, the authority processed a total of 28,811 permits and related requests, comprising 10,768 planning permits and 18,043 building permits. Performance metrics for July 2026 were notably high, with completion rates reaching 105.9% for planning permits and 120.1% for building permits. This initiative aims to increase administrative transparency regarding the processing of various types of applications, including those submitted for fast-track licensing.

Constantinos Yiorkadjis, President of EOA Nicosia, stated that the publication of these figures reflects the systematic efforts of the licensing and senior management departments. The authority intends to continue updating these statistics on a monthly basis to ensure ongoing public accountability regarding construction and development licensing procedures in the Nicosia district.
