Tasos Donis nears return to APOEL

Greek forward Tasos Donis is reportedly on the verge of returning to the Cypriot club APOEL, following a verbal agreement between the player and the team. Reports from both Greek and Cypriot media confirm that the transfer is in its final stages, pending the player's formal release from his current club, Aris Thessaloniki. Aris is currently looking to reduce its squad size, which currently stands at 35 players, and Donis has been identified as a player with limited prospects in the team's rotation due to increased competition in the attacking midfield.

Donis previously played for APOEL for three seasons, where he recorded 15 goals and 14 assists across 77 appearances. Once he successfully negotiates his exit from the Greek side, he is expected to rejoin the club led by coach Nikos Papadopoulos. No official announcement has been made yet, but the deal depends entirely on the player finalizing his contractual departure from Aris Thessaloniki.
