Olympiacos basketball director Christos Bafes discusses team preparation and upcoming tournaments
Olympiacos Piraeus basketball sporting director Christos Bafes recently outlined the team's ongoing preparations for the new season. He noted that integrating the squad has been challenging due to the absence of ten international players, leaving the team to rely on non-international athletes, primarily Americans, alongside youth and junior players to complete training sessions.
Looking ahead, Bafes confirmed the team's participation in the "Neophytos Chandriotis" tournament in Cyprus, which he described as a vital "dress rehearsal" for the upcoming EuroLeague season. The event will feature coaching seminars and charitable hospital visits, emphasizing the club's commitment to the initiative. Furthermore, Bafes highlighted the team's upcoming appearance at the inaugural EuroLeague Super Cup held in Abu Dhabi, where Olympiacos will compete as the current title holder.
