Cyprus labor offices extend in-person payment services due to SISnet transition issues

The Cyprus Social Insurance Services announced that district offices will continue accepting in-person social insurance contribution payments until September 30, 2026. This measure is intended to support users experiencing difficulties registering for the CY Login platform, which is required for the new SISnet electronic payment system. Despite this temporary facility, the Ministry of Labor clarified that the official deadline for contribution payments remains unchanged.

Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Marinos Moussouttas stated that efforts to educate the public on the SISnet transition began in April 2026, including the distribution of instructional guides and videos. However, he acknowledged that these awareness campaigns did not yield the desired level of adoption, necessitating the current extension. Beyond accepting payments, district office staff will be available to assist citizens with the identity verification process required for the CY Login platform.
