Police and Frontex join forces: 51 irregular migrants sent back to their countries

On August 26, 2026, Cyprus collaborated with Frontex and authorities from Greece and Bulgaria to conduct a joint forced return flight for 51 irregular migrants. A total of 35 individuals were repatriated from Cyprus, alongside 15 from Greece and one from Bulgaria. This operation is part of broader migration management efforts, with the Cypriot authorities having successfully repatriated 6,027 third-country nationals since the beginning of the year through both voluntary and forced return procedures.
