Apollon Limassol women's volleyball team adds two international players to roster
The Apollon Limassol women's volleyball club has announced two major roster additions ahead of the upcoming season. On August 27, 2026, the team confirmed the signing of Romanian international Simina Străchinescu, followed by the acquisition of American setter Isabelle Morgan on August 28.
Simina Străchinescu, born in 1999, stands 1.83 meters tall and plays as an opposite hitter. She joins the team with significant experience from the Romanian league, having played for clubs such as CSM Lugoj and Corona Brașov, and was named the best server of the 2023-2024 season in the Romanian league. Isabelle Morgan, born in 2000 and 1.87 meters tall, previously played for US universities Villanova and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, before competing professionally in Puerto Rico, Sweden with Gislaveds VBK, and Azerbaijan with Ganja VC.
These strategic signings aim to bolster the team’s offensive capabilities and overall coordination for the new competitive cycle. Both players are expected to integrate into the squad immediately to prepare for the start of the season.
