OFIS completes the signing of Bosnian forward Kenan Kodro

OFI Crete has finalized the acquisition of 33-year-old Bosnian striker Kenan Kodro from Hungarian club Ferencvaros. The player arrived in Heraklion on August 28, 2026, successfully passed his medical examinations, and signed a contract with the Greek side. While the deal is officially announced as a one-year loan, it effectively secures the player's services until 2028, as a long-term agreement will activate upon the expiration of his contract with Ferencvaros next summer.

Kodro brings significant European experience to the team, having previously played for Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Osasuna, Valladolid, and Zaragoza. In the 2025-26 season, he played 34 matches for Real Zaragoza while on loan, scoring eight goals. The forward has also represented the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team 15 times. Concurrently, OFI officials have officially denied circulating rumors regarding potential interest in Greek national team captain Tasos Bakasetas.

Following the successful medical results and signing, the transfer has been fully processed. The club now incorporates the experienced forward into its squad as they prepare for the upcoming fixtures.
