Panathinaikos signs midfielder Imran Louza from Watford
Panathinaikos has officially announced the acquisition of 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder Imran Louza from English club Watford. The player arrived in Athens on August 26, passed medical and ergometric tests on August 27, and signed a three-year contract today. He will wear the number 26 shirt for the Greek team.
The transfer fee is reported to be approximately 7 million euros, with Louza earning an annual salary slightly exceeding 1 million euros. According to one source, the contract includes a 3+1 year duration, while another source specifies it as a standard three-year deal. The signing is intended to strengthen the midfield under manager Jacob Neestrup, effectively filling the void left by Adam Gnezda Cerin, who recently transferred to Al-Wahda.
Born in Nantes, France, in 1999, Louza brings experience from his time in the English Championship and his formative years at the FC Nantes academy. Having finalized the deal, he is now officially part of the Panathinaikos squad and is expected to integrate into the team's ongoing preparations for the upcoming matches.
