Neapolis University Pafos achieves 16th place in International Mathematics Competition 2026
Neapolis University Pafos secured 16th place in the 2026 International Mathematics Competition for University Students (IMC), which took place in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. This ranking represents the highest performance among all participating universities from Greece and Cyprus. The event hosted 447 students representing 136 universities from across the globe.
In achieving this position, the university outperformed several internationally renowned institutions, including ETH Zurich, University College London (UCL), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the University of British Columbia (UBC), and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The university's performance is based on the aggregate scores of its student team, known as NUPBrains.
This year's result continues a trend of high-level performance for the institution in the IMC. The university previously ranked 22nd in 2023, 15th in 2024, and 10th in 2025. The consistently high placement reflects the school's ongoing commitment to excellence in mathematical competition, solidifying its academic reputation on the international stage.
