Larnaca implements 2026 tourism development plan
The Larnaca Tourism Development and Promotion Company (ETAP) is currently implementing an intensive action plan for 2026, aimed at modernizing the local tourism model. The strategy focuses on current international trends, including the demand for authentic experiences, sustainable destinations, improved accessibility, and advanced digital communication. This initiative is a collective effort coordinated by ETAP in partnership with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the Larnaca Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEL), local authorities, and hotel and travel agent associations.
The strategic shift is already yielding measurable results, as evidenced by the interest from major international hotel chains and the decision by two large UK tour operators to include Larnaca in their 2027 programs. These developments mark a transition toward a more integrated and competitive tourism product that connects local identity with global standards. ETAP continues to work closely with its partners to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the sector in the region.
