Drug trafficking arrests in Paphos
On August 28, 2026, the Paphos Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN), in collaboration with the Information Management and Analysis Service (YDAP), conducted a series of coordinated operations against drug trafficking in the Paphos district. The raids targeted three residences and one premise, leading to the arrest of three individuals. Two suspects were detained for drug-related offenses, while a third was arrested for assaulting police officers.
A central focus of the operation was the home of a 35-year-old man, where officers seized 42,500 euros, 345 British pounds, and 40 Danish krone in cash. Additionally, authorities confiscated 89 grams of cannabis, 1,133 ecstasy tablets, and 90 capsules of anabolic substances. A further search of the suspect's vehicle resulted in the discovery and seizure of another 5 grams of cannabis, leading to a second, concurrent arrest. The 35-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear before the Paphos District Court today to face charges and receive a remand order as the investigation into the local drug network continues.
