On August 28, 2026, authorities in Paphos conducted coordinated raids across three residences and one premise as part of an investigation into drug trafficking. The operation was led by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) in collaboration with the Paphos Information Management and Analysis Service (YDAP).
A 35-year-old male was arrested after authorities discovered 1,133 ecstasy tablets, 90 anabolic steroid capsules, and 94 grams of cannabis in his possession, along with 42,500 euros, 345 British pounds, and 40 Danish krone in cash. A 40-year-old woman was also arrested for possession of cannabis. Additionally, a third individual was taken into custody after assaulting and injuring two police officers during a search of his residence.
The 35-year-old suspect is scheduled to appear before the Paphos District Court today to face an application for a detention order. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities process the evidence and assess the broader criminal involvement associated with the seized items.
