Cyprus police search for eight individuals following violence at Nea Salamina Fan Day

Cyprus police have released photographs of eight individuals currently being sought in connection with serious violent incidents that occurred during the Nea Salamina Fan Day. The disturbances took place at the auxiliary field of the Ammochostos Stadium between August 23 and 24, 2026.

The suspects, whose ages range from 17 to 23, are being investigated for multiple offenses, including the infliction of grievous bodily harm, riotous behavior, physical altercations, assault, and the possession and use of dangerous objects. Authorities have launched an investigation to identify and locate these individuals as part of ongoing criminal proceedings related to these events.

The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is leading the inquiry and is calling for public assistance in identifying the suspects. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Larnaca CID at 24-804060, their local police station, or the Citizen’s Line at 1460 to help facilitate the investigation and potential legal actions that will follow once the individuals are located.
