Police search for suspects in Nea Salamina team event violence

Cypriot police are searching for multiple unidentified individuals in connection with violent incidents that occurred during a Nea Salamina football team recreation day. The event took place between August 23 and August 24, 2026, at the auxiliary pitch of the Ammochostos Stadium.

The authorities are investigating several serious criminal offenses, including causing grievous bodily harm, rioting, brawling, assault, and the use of dangerous objects. Police have released images of the sought individuals and are calling on the public to provide any information that could assist in their identification or location.
