Two children rescued from sea in Peyia during severe weather

On the morning of Saturday, August 29, 2026, a rescue operation was conducted at Arapi Beach in Peyia, Paphos District, after two minors in an inflatable boat were swept out to sea. Lifeguards Rafail Kyriakou and Anthony Torres intervened after noticing the children had drifted beyond the marked safety zone due to strong winds.
