Ivan Savvidis visits PAOK training to rally team after European exit

PAOK majority shareholder Ivan Savvidis attended the team's final training session on August 29, 2026, accompanied by his sons, Giorgos and Nikos. The visit occurred ahead of the club's upcoming match against Atromitos in Peristeri, scheduled for August 30 at 20:15, which marks the second matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

During his appearance, his first in approximately a year, Savvidis aimed to boost morale following the team's elimination from European competitions by Brann. Addressing the players and staff, he urged them to move past the disappointment, describing the European experience as a bad dream, and emphasized the necessity of treating every remaining league match as a final. Despite the disappointment, the club leadership maintains its support for manager Alessio Lisci and the current technical staff, confirming that no immediate changes are planned. The organization intends to continue its strategic plan and is currently targeting three additional player signings, specifically for the center-forward, center-back, and right-back positions.
