Marc Marquez dominates the Aragon Grand Prix weekend
Seven-time world champion Marc Marquez achieved a dominant performance at the MotorLand Aragon circuit during the 13th round of the 2026 MotoGP season. On August 29, the 33-year-old Ducati rider secured his 20th career Sprint Race victory, setting a new record for the most wins in the format. He led the short race from start to finish, followed by his brother Alex Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi.
Building on his momentum, Marquez claimed victory in the main Grand Prix race on August 30. Despite a challenging battle against Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi, who completed the podium, the Spaniard maintained control of the race, which saw five riders retire due to crashes. Following his victory, Marquez celebrated with his fans at the track.
This successful weekend significantly improved Marquez's position in the championship standings, closing the gap to the current leader, Jorge Martin, to 19 points. The performance reaffirms his status as a top contender as the MotoGP season progresses.
