Police search for three missing persons in Cyprus

Cypriot authorities have launched searches for three individuals reported missing in separate incidents across the island. The first case involves 14-year-old Evanthia Bletsa, who has been missing from her residence in Nicosia since August 30, 2026. She is described as 1.65 meters tall, with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black trousers, a green shirt, and white shoes.

The second case concerns 14-year-old Atif Sammour, a Syrian national who has been missing from his home in Strovolos since August 28, 2026. He is described as 1.82 meters tall, with a slim build and short black hair. Additionally, 26-year-old Bassam Mohamad Kheir, also from Syria, has been missing from his residence in Limassol since September 1, 2026. He is approximately 1.78 meters tall, of slim build, with brown hair and a beard.

Police are actively investigating all three disappearances. Authorities have appealed to the public to provide any relevant information by contacting the Nicosia CID at 22802222 for the teenagers, or the Limassol CID at 25805057 for the 26-year-old. Citizens can also report information to the nearest police station or the Citizen’s Line at 1460.
