Karol Angielski joins Nea Salamina

Nea Salamina has officially signed 30-year-old Polish striker Karol Angielski on a one-year contract, lasting until May 2027. The agreement was finalized on August 31, 2026, following negotiations regarding his departure from the Polish club Pogon Szczecin, where he had made 11 appearances and scored one goal during the previous season.

Angielski, who stands 1.81 meters tall and was born in Kielce, is already familiar with the Cypriot league due to his previous tenure at AEK Larnaca, where he recorded 13 goals in 49 appearances. His professional background also includes stints at Atromitos in Greece and several Polish clubs, such as Radomiak Radom and Wisla Plock. Nea Salamina management, in collaboration with their planning committee, hopes that his experience and goal-scoring record will provide a significant boost to their attacking line.

Following the transfer, the striker is expected to integrate quickly into the squad as he maintained match fitness during his pre-season with Pogon Szczecin. There is a possibility that he could make his debut for his new club as early as the second matchday of the season, which potentially pits Nea Salamina against his former club, AEK.
