Pafos FC updates on roster strategy and player transfers

Pafos FC general manager Charis Theocharous recently provided updates on the team’s status following a successful league opener victory against Karmiotissa. Despite heavy fatigue from European fixtures and challenging weather conditions, the team managed nine changes to the starting lineup, proving the depth of the squad under the management's guidance. The club is currently evaluating its roster ahead of the European registration deadline on September 3.

Regarding recruitment, the club has received transfer offers for various players, including Sema and Kina, but has not yet accepted any as they failed to meet the team's financial requirements. Management emphasized that new signings will only be pursued if they significantly enhance the squad's quality, potentially leading to player departures to balance the roster. Additionally, the club is integrating young talent, specifically focusing on the recent developments surrounding the 19-year-old Portuguese forward Afonso Patrao, formerly of Braga and Westerlo, to strengthen their attacking options.
