Cultural events and festivals across Cyprus in early September
Cyprus hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events between August 31 and September 7, 2026. On August 31, pianist Nikoletta Savvidou performed at the A.G. Leventis Botanical Garden in the Troodos mountains, a recital streamed by the Avantgarde Cultural Foundation. Additionally, the Nicosia Municipal Theatre screened the documentary "Skammata" by director Danai Stylianou, which explores Cypriot archaeological history before and after 1974.
From September 1 to 7, the 15th SEPTEMBERFEST beer and music festival takes place at Academy Park in Aglantzia. The event features a diverse lineup, including Giorgos Sabanis, Locomondo, Ble, and Christos Mastoras with the band Melisses, running nightly from 7pm to midnight. Tickets are available through ticketbox.com. Meanwhile, the Pierides Museum in Larnaca continues to host the exhibition "Nina Iakovou: Eyes to See and Hands to Touch," organized in collaboration with the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation.
These events are part of a broader late-summer calendar highlighting local arts, music, and heritage across various regions, including Nicosia, Larnaca, and the Troodos area.
