Cyprus Basketball Federation leaders meet with President Christodoulides
On Tuesday, September 2, 2026, a delegation from the Cyprus Basketball Federation (KOK) met with President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace to address the development of the sport. The federation's team included President Louis Dimitriou, General Manager Marinos Mitrou, Development and Strategic Planning Officer Dimitris Papadopoulos, and Neoklis Theocharidis. The stakeholders emphasized that upgrading existing infrastructure and constructing modern, safe, and accessible sports venues is essential for the growth of basketball, particularly among younger age groups.
Furthermore, the meeting focused on strengthening long-term development programs. The talks underscored the commitment of both the KOK and the government representatives to fostering a better environment for basketball development across the country, aiming to cultivate talent through enhanced organizational support.
