Lithuanian real estate agent sought for usurpation of Greek Cypriot property missing in France

French authorities have reported that a 53-year-old Lithuanian real estate agent, who was subject to an extradition order to the Republic of Cyprus, cannot currently be located. The woman was wanted in connection with an investigation into the usurpation of Greek Cypriot properties in the Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus.

Following a legal decision by a French court, a European arrest warrant had been issued against her. Although the court had ruled in favor of her extradition to Cyprus, she had been released under restrictive conditions in France rather than being held in custody. When French officials attempted to execute the arrest warrant to facilitate the transfer, they were unable to find her at her registered location.

Cyprus Police spokesperson Byron Byronos confirmed on September 2, 2026, that the Cypriot authorities were prepared to receive the suspect, but have been informed that the handover process must remain suspended until she is apprehended again. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue efforts to locate the suspect.
