Medochemie and Theramir announce strategic biotechnology partnership

On September 2, 2026, the Cyprus-based pharmaceutical company Medochemie Ltd and the biotechnology firm Theramir Ltd announced a strategic investment and partnership agreement. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of next-generation therapies using extracellular vesicles and mRNA technologies, strengthening the pharmaceutical infrastructure in Cyprus and Southeast Europe.

The agreement combines Medochemie's extensive expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing and sterile therapeutic products with Theramir’s research specialization in advanced biological therapies. The two companies will jointly develop Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) capabilities to facilitate the transition of these biological products toward clinical development. This partnership is expected to solidify Cyprus's role as an emerging innovation hub, enhancing local capabilities in advanced biomanufacturing and supporting the growth of the regional biotechnology sector.
