APOEL appoints Thanasis Christoforou as administrative manager of the football department

The board of directors of APOEL Football Ltd announced on September 2, 2026, the appointment of Thanasis Christoforou as the new Administrative Manager of the club's football department. This structural change follows an official decision made by the company's management board to enhance the administrative oversight of the team.

In his new capacity, Mr. Christoforou will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of all administrative affairs within the football department. He is expected to work in close collaboration with Zisis Vryzas, who currently serves as the Sporting Director. According to the club’s official statement, Vryzas retains absolute authority regarding the executive and organizational operations of the entire football section.

The appointment aims to clarify the administrative structure of the club while maintaining the current division of labor. The board of directors has expressed its full support for Mr. Christoforou, wishing him success in his new duties as he begins the role immediately.
