Poultry statistics for July 2026 released by statistical service

The Statistical Service of Cyprus released data on Wednesday regarding poultry production in July 2026, revealing a significant divergence between egg-laying and meat-production categories. Female poultry intended for egg production dropped to 24,190 in July 2026, representing a 32% decrease compared to July 2025 and a 60% decline from the 60,670 recorded in June 2026.

Conversely, male poultry intended for meat production saw an annual increase of 10.7%, reaching 1,402,640, compared to 1,267,560 in July 2025. Data regarding incubation eggs also showed mixed results: eggs set for egg production reached 73,920, marking an 84.7% year-on-year increase, despite a 10.5% monthly decline. Meanwhile, eggs set for meat production totaled 1,752,150, reflecting an 8.3% rise from the previous year but a 4.9% decrease compared to June 2026 figures.
