Range Rover unveils its first all-electric SUV
Range Rover has officially entered the electric vehicle market with the debut of its first all-electric SUV. Marking a significant shift for the brand more than half a century after the original model's inception, the new vehicle aims to retain the signature luxury, comfort, and off-road capabilities associated with the Range Rover legacy.
The vehicle is powered by a dual-motor configuration, with each motor delivering 260 kW for a combined output of 550 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful Range Rover in terms of torque to date. It achieves a 0–60 mph acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. The SUV features a 118.5 kWh double-stack lithium-ion battery consisting of 344 prismatic cells, providing an official WLTP range of approximately 598 kilometres, with a real-world estimate of 535 kilometres.
Built on an 800-volt architecture, the vehicle supports high-speed charging. Using a 350 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% capacity in approximately 22 minutes.
