Apollon Ladies eliminated from UEFA Women’s competition

Apollon Ladies have been eliminated from the UEFA Women's competition following their second-leg match against FH Hafnarfjordur in Iceland on September 2, 2026. Although the team led by Angelos Tsolakis managed to secure a 1-0 away victory, it was insufficient to overturn the 2-0 defeat they suffered during the first leg held in Cyprus.

With an aggregate score of 2-1 in favor of the Icelandic side, Hafnarfjordur advanced to the next round of the tournament. Despite the effort shown by the Cypriot players until the final whistle, the deficit from the initial match proved decisive, ending the European campaign for the Apollon Ladies.

Following the conclusion of their continental participation, the team is now shifting its focus toward domestic competitions. They are currently preparing for the upcoming league draw, which is scheduled to take place this Friday.
