Anytime acquires Gan Direct insurance portfolio in Cyprus

Anytime, the digital insurance brand of the Interamerican Group (a member of Achmea), has reached a formal agreement to acquire the motor and property insurance portfolio of Gan Direct in Cyprus. This strategic acquisition is intended to strengthen Anytime's market position and expand its digital footprint within the region. The completion of the transaction remains subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.

Gan Direct, which has operated for over 30 years as the first direct insurance company in Cyprus, will pivot its business model following the sale. CEO George Nicolaides stated that the company will now focus on specialized, high-value-added insurance services. Interamerican Group CEO Yiannis Kantoros characterized the move as a significant step in the group's regional development, emphasizing the integration of the acquired non-life portfolio into their existing operations.

While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the agreement represents a major consolidation in the Cypriot insurance sector. Both organizations view this transition as the start of a new growth phase, with Anytime scaling its operations and Gan Direct shifting its corporate focus toward niche market opportunities.
