Anytime acquires Gan Direct's car and property insurance portfolio in Cyprus

Anytime, the digital brand of Interamerican Group, which is a member of the Dutch Achmea Group, has reached an agreement to acquire the car and property insurance portfolio of Gan Direct in Cyprus. The transaction is designed to strengthen Anytime’s market position and competitive standing within the Cypriot insurance sector.

Following the acquisition, Gan Direct, known for being the first direct insurer in Cyprus, intends to shift its strategic focus toward specialized insurance services with higher added value. Giorgos Nikolaidis, CEO of Gan Direct, described the move as a major strategic milestone that follows the company's thirty-year history of providing direct insurance solutions to local customers.

While the financial terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed, the transition marks a significant restructuring for the local insurance landscape. Gan Direct plans to initiate a new phase of operations, concentrating its resources on niche markets and specialized services as it transitions away from its traditional car and property lines. The move aligns with Anytime’s broader expansion strategy in the region.
