Stuttgart secures first Bundesliga win by defeating Koln 4-1

Stuttgart secured its first victory of the 2026/27 Bundesliga season on September 4, 2026, defeating Koln 4-1 at the MHPArena in the opening match of the second round. After a scoreless first 30 minutes, Bilal El Khannouss broke the deadlock in the 39th minute following an individual effort.

In the second half, Stuttgart extended its lead with goals from Promel in the 60th minute and Demirovic in the 75th minute. Koln managed to narrow the gap to 3-1 in the 81st minute after an own goal by Hendriks, but Vagnoman scored in the 91st minute to seal the 4-1 final result. Stuttgart’s goalkeeper Bredlow made several key saves throughout the game to maintain the lead.
