Large family travels on the Limassol to Piraeus ferry

On September 5, 2026, a family of twelve attracted public attention aboard the passenger ship AF Marina while traveling from Limassol to Piraeus. The family, consisting of 41-year-old parents Christina and Dimitris Konstantinou and their ten children, stood out due to their matching blue t-shirts.

Each child wore a shirt featuring a design of the Parthenon and the White Tower of Thessaloniki, along with their specific birth order number on the front. This journey marked the first time the entire group of twelve, residing in Agia Varvara, Nicosia, traveled together on the ferry route. The children range in age from the eldest, 12-year-old Angeliki, to the youngest, six-month-old Charalambos, who wore a numbered onesie. The parents, both noted to be refugees, have organized their large household as a tightly bonded team, which was evident to other passengers during the trip.
